What is included with my registration?

Does this program offer CME?

Yes. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Illinois State Medical Society and ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company. The Illinois State Medical Society is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Illinois State Medical Society designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize how changing care models and emerging risks are affecting practicing physicians
  • Explain the medical professional liability and patient safety implications of these challenges
  • Incorporate practical strategies for mitigating these risks into everyday practice

Does this program offer a Risk Rewards premium discount?

Yes, eligible ISMIE policyholders who attend may earn a 1% premium discount.

Can I register for a single session, or share my registration?

No. Each person wishing to attend this event must register for the entire symposium.

Will there be Wi-Fi?

Yes, the hotel has agreed to provide Wi-Fi in the conference rooms and common areas.

Is parking available?

Self-parking is available for attendees at a discounted rate of $15. Please be sure to have your parking ticket validated at the conference registration desk. Valet parking is also available for $39.

Are meals included?

Yes, your registration includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day. Please email us at riskmanagement@ismie.com to alert us to any food allergies, or arrange for any special dietary needs.

What if I have to cancel?

As a courtesy to others who wish to register, we request that you let us know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your registration. You can do so by emailing riskmanagement@ismie.com.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Yes, we will refund your full registration fee, minus a $15 processing fee. To do so, you must email us at riskmanagement@ismie.com by November 1, 2017. Due to non-refundable costs incurred on our end, no refunds will be available after November 1, 2017. However, we are happy to transfer your registration to another attendee for no additional cost at any time prior to the program.

Will this event be recorded?

Yes. Please be aware that this event will be recorded and by attending you consent to your voice and/or likeness being used, without compensation, and release ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company, its affiliates, successors, assigns, and licensees from any liability associated with the use of the images and audio specified above. If you do not wish to have you voice and/or likeness recorded, please inform staff at the event and efforts will be made to reasonably accommodate the request.
